One of my favorite online resources is allrecipes.com. Just type in what you want to do with it, such as hamburger (or ground beef) soup or hamburger (or ground beef) casserole and see what comes up. All of the recipes have been tried and rated by people just like you and me. Be sure to read some of the reviews, because readers often tweak the recipes to better meet their needs. Unfortunately, sometimes these same people rate the recipe based on what they did to it, not the original, thus the reason to read some of the reviews. My recipe file is jammed packed with recipes that I've obtained from allrecipes.com.

the1much - you know that flabby thing that hangs down between a steer's front legs? That's the brisket. Yummy!!

The kids get frozen pizza tonight. I have to go to the grocery store and won't get home until at least 8:30, so no cooking tonight!!!

I have about 5# of boneless organic chicken breasts. I usually do stir fry or smothered in a brown mushroom gravy (scratch) with a tiny fresh lime infusion and steamed veg with mashed taters ...or I make "fingers" with buttermilk and bread crumbs ...orrr grilled kebabs, enchiladas, spaghetti, chow mein, curries, etc.

Any NEW ideas? I need NEW in my life ..and I really need to cook all this chicken cuz it ALL got defrosted by misunderstanding

Aneesa's Muse - One of the things I really like having on hand is a bag of frozen grilled chicken strips. Grill up a bunch of chicken breasts and slice them into strips. Lay them on a baking sheet and freeze them. Once frozen, place them into a ziplock freezer bag. Some uses: pull out a handful, defrost, and serve over salad greens and whatever salad veggies you enjoy. Saute some peppers and onions, toss in the chicken and season. Depending on how they're seasoned, they'd be good on a crusty baguette or served as fajitas in tortillas. You can saute some veggies, add the chicken and a white sauce and serve it over pasta. Or, if you prefer something different, you could toss the fresh breasts in your crockpot with some BBQ sauce, shred them, and serve them like pulled pork sandwiches.

As for us, tonight is Round Three in the Great Steak-Fest, the whopping big tray of steaks I bought for about $11.

Remember the grilled steak from Monday night? The leftovers from that will be sliced up and served as a part of a grilled steak, onion, tomato, and blue cheese salad.

After tonight's supper, the servings count should be at 13, which puts us at 85 cents per serving, with more leftovers yet to come!

Aneesa's Muse - Like Backyard Buddies, I like to keep shredded or cubed cooked chicken in the freezer. I was just thinking of making Chicken Clemanceau. Cubed chicken, mushrooms, garlic, green peas cubed potatoes, all sauteed in butter and sprinkled with paprika. Creole soul food straight from Dooky Chase's.

I just burnt my fingerprints off pulling cooked pork butt for Carolina pulled pork sandwiches. (I know, you can use forks, but fingers are the best!) Slaw and fries.

So, whatcha doing with it? I love reinventing leftovers and am always looking for good ideas. When I was growing up, my dad used to make turkey tacos with our leftover turkey. This was back before most people had even heard of chicken tacos (and when we were living in Florida and the folks there pronounced it as Tay-coes

) and some people thought it was really odd to eat turkey tacos. But, yum! Those were good!

Thanks, ladies!!

Grilling the majority of it for the freezer sounds perfect. Then I can just go from already cooked to some DH dazzlin' dishes in minutes..

LEFTOVER?? how can it be leftover when it started yesterday, and we only ate it tonight? lol It's LEFT OVER from the nite before, as it when you eat it tomarrow for dinner, THEN it will be leftovers! hahahahha Love yas babes

I made 4 pounds' worth of mini-meatballs, with half organic grass-fed pork sausage and half ground turkey, cooked overnight in a crockpot with a nice sweet-sour sauce. Most of them were then frozen to be used in my daughter's bento lunches for school, but I saved some out with the sauce and served it over wholegrain pasta tonight.
