Ahhhh....it feels good to rest, finally.
Today was spent in kitchen prep for tomorrow's feast, plus feeding, watering and celebrating the return of our human "chicks" to the nest.
Bruschetta with a fresh tomato/basil salsa on fresh baked Italian bread, rigatoni with sweet Italian sausage and homemade marinara sauce, fresh spinach salad with oranges, black olives and red onions drizzed with an orange citronette, more crusty homemade Italian bread, and a pistachio cake for dessert. A nice, robust bottle of red to share.
It's nice to have a full house!
