Nope. I'm slacking. It's leftover meatballs and spaghetti tonight, sorry. Tomorrow is DH's turn to cook, day after that I thought I'd try those refried beans with cheese, cheese and extra cheese that someone posted in this thread a while back. Got multi-grain tortillas, so I can pretend it's healthy or something.

Yogiman, the Amish thing gets old right about the time you have to haul and boil your own bathwater. And deodorant is forbidden by their religion. Trust me on this one, for Brandy's sake, you want indoor running water in the bathroom and deodorant, yes you do.

yes, my grandmother used to make something like that but since she passed no one is sure of all the ingredients. it was great for picnics

I was a short order cook tonight. DH is away and the kids did play. We had Miss Prissy's pancakes, waffles with the same batter, and french toast. I tasted a little bit of each of the kids stuff and drank a big glass of milk. We are off to an early bed time and reading in bed for me.

Sorry about that folks. I had to step away for an hour and take Brandigirl so she could go graze the buffet. She gets real cranky if she gets to hungry. I didn't cook tonight either.

Yeah, you're right but I grew up that way. Had to pump water, boil it and pour it in a galvanized wash tub to bathe. Grew up without indoor running, bathroom, etc. Did have electricty though. Life was so much more simplier back then though. Couldn't make it without my smell good though. Gotta have that "toilet water". Don't like to smell.

Now I just gotta ask this: What the devil is gnocchi? Almost sounds like some kind of disease or something.

Wildsky, My invitation ended up lost too.

My leftover crawfish ended up being about a spoonful. Forgot DH made that scrumptous omlette with them.

I ended up with rasin bran and toast.

I was a lazy old goat tonight - just cooked up some chicken left overs with veggies and added rice - kinda like a half hearted stir fry

My hubby knows the last week of every month when I'm busy at work - theres not going to be much excitement coming out of the kitchen.
