Yogi, you've got that right! I love growing yellow crook necks, and patty pans, especially, for summer squash. When the kids were small, they used to run down and get a flower each (They were abundant.) and want it fried with their breakfast on weekends. Gotta' love homegrown vegetables!
Lizardz, my son is grown now, and wouldn't eat a storebought egg if you paid him; even if the chickens were treated well and given cookies and milk before bed. He was very small when we moved here, and can't remember any time before us having our own hens for eggs. Actually, aside from other terms, I think he calls other eggs "anemic!" (Too pale of yolks, too runny of whites etc.)
