LOL!! One of my biggest chickens named Charlotte, a Barred Rock, squared off against my dachshund over a whole cob of corn! So funny! She got in front of my dog who had the cob in her mouth and ruffled her feathers..made the dog stop and put down the cob and leave it!! "Charlotte" then ate the corn and my dog came and sat at my feet!! Charlotte is alot bigger, guess she figured it wasnt worth it, lol! Bet they slept well last night, full crops, temps in the low 70's and a little fan blowing on them..bet there is enough poop out there to fuel a furnace this morning!! Too bad no one could stand the smell to use it!! lol!!! Have a great day ya'll!!!

Last night we had Western scrambled eggs, hash browns, buttered toast, sliced garden tomatoes, salsa and orange juice.

The scrambled eggs are made pretty much like the omelette. Onion, green bell pepper, Alhambra peppers, and diced, smoked, natural chicken. The chicken is kind of like a cold cut, but not too thinly sliced...really tasty stuff!

I won't get to do my monthly shopping until at least tomorrow, so I'm making do until then. At least my July menu and shopping list are made; yeah!

Backyard Buddies, you're always welcome for dinner, just come on up anytime, no invite needed! If I see you come in the door, I'll just set another place!

Scrambled Egg, what a great gift, if a somewhat time consuming one! One of my son's 2 dogs, which stays here all day while he works, is a dachshund, and he's not as large as the chickens, either; I can see that situation in my mind's eye!

BamaChicken, I've never heard of colored butterbeans; what color are they? The one's I've always made are beige. What a good sounding meal!

Redfeathers, that sounds so good that I think I'll see what kind of fresh fish is at the farmer's market! Mmmmm!

Everyone's meals sound good!

I'm torn between VeriVeri Teriyaki chicken with some steamed jade rice and some kind of veggie ...or a Thai Green Curry with coconut base and chicken or shrimp with eggplant and some other veggies..

Hopefully, DH will have a preference ...and not just say, "whatever you want"

We're having a chicken with yellow curry dish. I'm not quite sure which recipe I want to use yet, but we're having it with Jasmine rice, and a fresh mango salsa. We have carrot cake for dessert.

(I had cream cheese which needed using, and lots of carrots. lol!)

I would kill for a good piece of carrot cake right now. Ok, not kill but somebody would get hurt if they got between me and the carrot cake. I've never made it myself...how lame is that. Is your recipe available to the general public Tutter?

LOL!!! My dog was a bit timid of getting around my chickens when I let them out tonight!! Guess dogs aren't in to that chest butting thing, LOL!!!

Christi that fried fish is exactly what I have been craving for over a week!! If we had a Long John Silver's anywhere near here or where I work I swear I would eat there at least 3 - 4 times a week!! Fried fish globbed up with tartar sauce..omg..makes my mouth water!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I sooooo love that!!!! Throw in some hush puppies and that'll make you hurt someone that gets in the way, lol!!!!!

We are having a good supper tonight though, DS went to pick up Kyoto Express..teryaki chicken & shrimp...pretty good..doesnt top the fried fish and tartar sauce though!!!!

I like curry too..that sounds good too Tutter..wow, you folks eat pretty good in this thread, !!!!!!!

Very simply tossed some farmer's market new potatoes and young sweet potatoes in olive oil, herbs, and sea salt, and roasted them at high heat until they caramelized, then served with a sprinkling of shredded cheese and a dollop of sour cream.
