cause we are on the road to to kansas city for the lineman's rodeo, pulled into some little town in the middle of Pennsylvania.
And stopped at Denny's (not the chain) pub.

They have burger challenges , a two pounder , 4 pounder and a fifteen pounder oh my.
There was a guy there who finished the 2 pounder I hope that t-shirt was worth it cause he didn't look too good when he left

Can't wait to see where we turn up tonight for dinner, its an adventure

I LOVE ROAD TRIPS
ps I've been knitting and crocheting up a storm.

I just love to see what everyone else likes to eat! The meatloaf and mashed potatoes that geckomama had sounds great. My son loves meatloaf. That might be tomorrows dinner. Last night was fettucini with garlic alfredo sauce and crab, also fresh sour dough bread. Tonight is ham, with ham gravy and mashed potatoes. Also fresh beans from the garden down the road, beings mine didn't come up! NO!! I didn't steal them

. We went last night and bought 12 large tomatoes, 12 large onions, 13 ears of corn, quart of fresh sauerkraut, and the beans for $20! Good deal. They even threw in some pickled peppers that are OH SO good!!

Ours is going to be Homemade Vegetable Cheese Bread

Please share the recipe, it sounds good:)

ETA: I am at work so I will have a big salad (chickpeas, cukes, carrrots, romaine, balsamic), wheat crackers, an orange, hot tea and homemade brownie.

I too have a large pot of chili cooking away for tonight, cornbread and Apples Foster for desert (made like Bananas Foster, but with sliced apples flambeed in brandy).

I don't follow an exact recipe but .....

1 apple (I like a firm, tart variety, just don't use Granny Smith), peeled and sliced
3 TBSP butter
1 TBSP brown sugar
cinnamon to taste
about 1/8 cup brandy
French vanilla ice cream

Sautee apple slices in melted butter until just starting to soften. Sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar, stir to melt sugar. REMOVE PAN FROM HEAT (unless you would like to have a new kitchen), add brandy, return pan to heat, ignite brandy and wait until flames subside.

Divide into bowls and top with ice cream.

This is a great time of year! Love all the garden bounty recipes!!!!!!!! Keep them coming!
We are having pork chops rubbed with a ginger wasabi rub, a Gaucho melon from the garden, cucumbers (from the garden) in yogurt with dill, corn on the cob and homemade whole wheat cinnamon raisin bread.

Pizza. It was a frozen one with whole grain crust. It came with sauce, cheese, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, peppers. I added feta, fresh tomatoes and garlic. Salad, sauteed zucchine and oven baked fries. Kind of thrown together because DH had band rehearsal and I had PTO.
