Holy Carp! Someone out there is seriously selling Tree-Rat Jerky!? I'm beside myself.

I can't get over the pics on that site of the innocent little things eating nuts, unknowingly about to be eviscerated and tossed into a jerky-maker.

My dad tried to pawn off some once as fried chicken, and all of us just looked at the food, fried like chicken would be, and KNEW it was wrong...then again, we think they're cute and others think they're vermin.

I just can't get over the dried stuff, though...

Honest...even though I have eaten them, I LOVE squirrels!!!! I have one with an injured tail in my yard that has become my buddy. I watched her raise her children this Summer. They are just adorable!!! But then I eat chicken and I think my chickens are the most gorgeous creatures on earth!!!

So true! I very nearly made that point myself, regarding cuteness of chix. I'm in love with mine yet the ones in the package are still delicious.

And how the h*ll do you debone a squirrel??? idunno I can barely debone a chicken! I don't think there'd be a lot left of the little thing to talk about.

Easy. Cook it in a crockpot and it falls right off the bone. Of course there are LOTS of bones so you've got to be really careful about separating the meat.
