Manahawkin NJ
Greetings from the jersey shore. I'm near L.B.I. about 40min north of A.C. You can take the girl out of a farm but just try to take the farm out of a girl.I'm lucky my town has not pasted a law saying we can't have farm animals. If my neighbors don't complain about smell or noise which they have not I'm ok.Is there anyone else out there from N.J. I would love to chat to find where you get your supplies. Not much around here, the closest place is about 30 min. away. Some of the people on my street have never seen a chicken. A few kids didn't even know what they were, pretty sad:(

Hey Chickaboo! I'm in Brick - about an hour or so from you! My stepdaughter lives in Manahawkin. I think you are the closest to me in NJ so far!

Hi there!

I am in the Northern part of NJ, right near the delaware water gap and PA.

I will be attending the Richard Stockotn College of NJ this fall, which is down your way!

I'm in Warren Co-south of the Del Water Gap-across from Easton Pa. We have lots of farmland around here and I have 50+ chickens-from 1 week old up to 3 months old and 2 yrs old also. Then I have 2 adult Blue Swedish ducks-drake and duck and 6 young 7 week old ducks-3 BS and 3 Cayuga. Dogs, cats, rabbit, and fish round out the animal kingdom here, add 5 kids and 1 workaholic hubby-that's us! I'd love to live on a full time farm -but that's just me.My daughter loves it too tho-so maybe someday.

I'm from Jackson, NJ. I recently inherited mom's chickens (~20), a mix of bantam, frizzle, New Hampshire and Rhode Island Reds, as well as three dogs, a cat, two cockatiels, a goose, and angora goats and rabbits. Having a parrot, 5 cats, and several Jersey Woolies of my own it has been quite an adventure integrating everyone together. I did successfully place her angora rabbits and goats into new homes and may be looking to place some of the chickens and birds too. It's just a bit too much with a full time job, but I am a stupid animal lover too, so if any of you have hints on how to best set up things for easy care, I'd love to hear them.

Hi, I'm in Mays Landing. About a half hour south of Manahawkin. Lots of miscellaneous critters. They just put up a new Tractor Supply in Vineland, I'm loving it. It's a weekly vist.
