They are three and four weeks old in the pics. Just click on any small pic to see a larger version of that pic. Sorry for the poor quality of some pics -- I can't find my nice new camera, so these were taken with my old one!
There's actually three birds in the pics, but two of them (the two gray-marked ones) are difficult to tell apart in pics.
If you look closely at the chests on the gray-marked babies, you'll see that some of their gray chest feathers have small chestnut markings on them. It almost looks like a reversed mille fleur pattern -- gray/red/white, rather than red/black/white. It's going to be fascinating watching them grow up!
I'll try to get update pics of the parents in the next few days!
Doc,
Wow I thought my chicks were coming in different Yours sure are pretty though. I wonder what theyre going to end up coloring out like? They seem to have a lot more white than most of mine have had. Mine have started out more buff and then they turn a lot more white around 3 to 4 months old. Those guys are sure going to be interesting to when they get older.
Thanks for the pics.

The parents of these babies also had a lot of white as chicks. I've got early pics of the parents, but those pics are on another hard drive that I can't get to right now. If I come up with the really early pics one of these days, I'll post em so we can compare.
Thanx everybody
All my chicks start out white They have no millie color on them anywhere Then around 7 days they start getting their color In the wings as usual But they do go thru quite a bit of changes before they get to the final color Makes you wonder sometimes But here at home I have never had any that had as much dark or black on them Might just be a genetic thing I have one here thats about 6 weeks old and she is dark She is from another breeder that I want to try Want to try and put another line in to help with color and possibly type along with a few other things It might work or it might not But she was dark when she first hatched so I believe she will stay that way If she will co-operate I will make an attempt to get a pic and post it
I just had the best Valentines Day ever. 7 mille fleurs from Lynne hatched out and they are all fluffed and ready for photo-op. Now, if they would just stand still!
5 are a ginger-red color and two of them are marked like chipmunks. 2 are a darker gray color and we believe are the offspring of Bridgette ...the darker mille (my favorite
