Our feed store won't have more until May 13th. I will be there at lunch time.

... They know how many chicks we have already might make us share now.

Though the leghorns and gold sex links they had sold out within a couple days of them being offered and I think they had more chicks at that point.

B. Saffles Farms :

I sale every chick I hatch before they are 3 days old. I still get several calls a week wanting to buy more chicks.

I am hoping for the same kind of success. Once we are moved, we are getting more hens, looking for roos for each breed and gonna start hatching. 1/3 flock will be for eggs.

I am "gearing up" to do that for my layers. But it's the Cornish X's that I have been having a real tough time getting in smaller quantities.

I did place another order at a Farm and Fleet store today... We'll see what happens.

My only regret is, I wish I wouldve planned to hatch more chicks to sale. I have mostly been hatching for my breeding flock and breeding programs. But if I wouldve know chicks was gonna sale this good this year I wouldve planned on hatching many more to sale. Hope you have as good of luck as I have Debi.

We are going to sit down and figure out a plan, how much can we afford for the different breeds, building out the coops, etc., it will take time, but I hope get an incubator by the end June and start from there. We already have RIR's and BO's that are laying a boatload of eggs.

Thats a good start debi. Its good to have a plan too. You can always get bigger over time. (more birds, more breeds, etc) Better to do that than to get to big to quick, then it becomes time, and money consuming and isnt much fun then.
