I would just leave him outside but left to his own devices he harasses the chickens. and horses. he never hurts them, he just herds them from one side of the pasture to the other, all day.

he won't herd the cats. They smack him so he avoids the fuzzy buzzsaws. It's funny, he gets stepped on by horses and rammed by sheep but a cat scares him.
