When we bought our place we had lots of ducks, geese, frogs, lots of things to make noise after sunset. Eventually the wild Canada geese chased off all the other waterfowl when they started breeding. I'm hoping to get these guys established on the pond before the wild geese pass through. I may have to help the ducks establish ownership. It is a 5 acre pond, they can share! We miss the quacks.

Two weeks old and their first “pond” experience. I’ve been giving them fresh water with a handful of greens every day.

I love Canada geese but just like my two domestic geese they really are something else during breeding season but we just have to realize it’s natural behavior but with a 5 acre pond their should be room for all.
