Awesome! Did you put some oyster shell in the food, or what did you do?
 
Hanging the feeder will help with the scraping bit and disallow the girls to scrape so much out of the feeder. I too am having trouble with the amount of feed they eat. I listed my problem in a thread over the weekend and got a lot of good advice about fermenting the feed. I just started fermenting yesterday so it should be ready tomorrow. I'm going to use a three bucket rotation and ration the amount of feed I actually ferment but always have dry feed for them to eat whenever. If you want, I'll communicate my experiences so you may profit from my mistakes/success.
