I know lots of questions... But id really love to know exactly what i have lol..

Also, is my roo having gender issues??

Phoenix may indeed be a Phoenix. Need a pic of her standing naturally to see her body shape and tail set better.
Red bird behind her may be an Easter egger--looks like pea comb and beard?
Ivory looks like a white Rock
Red hens are likely production reds or mixed breeds. White earlobes on the second one? that shows mixed breeding.
I think Langshan pair.

Your rooster is all male and I'm sure he knows it. Part of being a good provider is showing the hens he can find a nice secure nest for them to lay...he's showing off for them.

I was told the blk roo and hen were barnvales or something like that.

Ill check the earlobes etc. And ill try to get more pics loaded.

Nope, Barnevelders are pretty different. They're laced, and I think have pea combs, and clean legs.

My choices here were between Langshan and Marans, with the feathered legs. The lack of any copper coloring on either bird, and the more upright tail especially on the male, with the longer legs, made me go Langshan. They're not a very common breed, kind of unusual to see.

What does laced mean? Is there a dictionary on here? Everyone talks in code and im so lost lol

Bird in front is a double laced barnevelder hen. Lacing means the feathers are dark with a lace ring around them. The bird behind the barnevelder is a silver laced cochin.


This is my barnevelder rooster for comparison. Excuse his comb, it is a single comb but he lost his tips to frostbite.

Can you tell what her bestie is next to her? She has fuzzy cheeks..
