Hi All,
I'm brand new to raising chickens and to BYC! I'm so excited to get started
I haven't gotten chickens yet - just bought our land in December and need to get the coop built. I love gardening and my pups (3 dogs). And of course the kids! My husband is dreading my new hobby, but is willing to help build the coop and keep my new animals safe.

I love the BYC community of knowledge, it was a great find!

If I could give some dog/chicken introduction advice introduce them young and let the dogs see them everyday so eventually they are nothing new I have 2beagles that I can leave alone with my rabbits and they won't hurt them I can leave them with the ducks chickens and guinea fowl to with no problem

I have cats too the love when we have chicks and they don't bother them yes that is a chick sleeping with one of our kittens
