I just signed up for the forum. As of March 2024, I am a new chicken keeper. I do look at posts quite often, looking for answers to my questions, as I am so new to keeping chickens. I have 10 birds in my flock—8 hens and 2 roosters. Unfortunately, the 2 roosters have prompted my joining this forum. For my hens, I have 4 black Australorps, 1 buff Brahma, 1 golden-laced Wyndotte, 1 Dominique, and 1 Easter Egger. One rooster is a Speckled Sussex and the other is an Easter Egger. I need to rehome the Easter Egger roo as clearly, that is not enough hens for two guys. If anyone is interested in him I live in Northwestern Michigan. He is free to a good home. His name is Henry and he's a good boy, he just needs a flock of his own.
My other hobbies are gardening, fiber crafts, cooking, and enjoying nature. I'm trying to be more self-sufficient, hence the chickens.
