Hi, everyone!

So happy for you!! Welcome aboard! I was you at 18 (well the part that had a dream of chickens, gardening, canning, and all things good) but it took me about 25 years longer than you to actually achieve it. Keep doing what you're doing. You should start a journal including pictures and maybe even start a blog. I think that people of your generation are screaming for a simpler way of life and you're setting an inspirational example. Bravo!!
Everyone I know says I act 20 years older than I am haha. I've just always thought learning a new skill would be better for me as a person rather than being silly over social media and stuff like that. Maybe it's just how my mom and dad raised me. Though, I do wish people my age wouldn't look down on living a simple life as much as they do. They think "simple = boring" and I have yet to get through to them that it isn't. A blog could be fun though!

Don't follow the crowds, do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life. Unfortunately, most people work jobs they hate to pay for things they think they love. You're doing life right so don't let anybody else rain on your parade. Besides, in order to value someones opinion, you must first respect their choices...opinions run both ways.
