They get along great! It has been very interesting watching their social bonds develop. Our white hen and the main cockerel have formed a very strong attachment - they are always together and he won't mate with anyone else! Our other cockerel services the two black hens, but the girls are bonded to each other and spend most of their time with one another. The grey hen gets mad every time the other hens are mounted and she charges over and pecks at the roos. Normally, she is the meekest and somewhat at the bottom of the pecking order, though no one really picks on her. So far the roos have been very gentle, it is rare for anyone to lose any feathers. We'll have to see what happens in the spring though!Hello and welcome to BYC!Glad you joined.
