I live in Dunedin, Florida 10 minutes from Gulf beaches and 15 minutes from Old Tampa Bay. I have 7 commerical Leghorn hens and a Silkie in my air conditioned garage and 3 Muscovy ducks in the yard. My 4-H group, 4-H2O, is spearheading an effort to get the ordinances in Pinellas County amended so that those of us who live in the unicorporated areas of the county can keep backyard poultry. We have a website and a petition that we would like Pinellas County residents to look at and sign and send the link to all of their friends and neighbors in the county. Currently 1/3 of the county has the right to keep backyard poultry due to different laws in the 24 municipalities within the county. It is legal to keep backyard poultry in St. Petersburg, Bellair, Gulfport, Largo and Dunedin, but not the unincorporated county. Thank you and I'd be interested in knwoing where I can find the Florida thread.
