Yippy!!! More people from San Diego!!!! I live in National City and I know there are quite a few people on here in Chula Vista, El Cajon, Hillcrest/North Park and up in North county. I am praying for you and your case. I didn't realize that you couldn't have chickens in La Mesa. I know in National City we can have 4 different types of poultry(4 chickens, 4 ducks, 4 turkeys, etc.) I have gone over that a bit...oh well. No complaints from neighbors yet.

If you can get an address or email address for the best person to sent letters or emails to Union Tribune or any other news org., I will definitely send them a letter in support.

Welcome from Central Orange County! Good luck with your zoning issues..... I was lucky that our little city of Villa Park is still zoned for farm animals when I decided 6 years ago I wanted chickens. Having urban chickens is "hot" now and cities all over are taking up the issue, I'm hoping you will not have any problems with your city
