Hi geese people...

Hello all,
I know NOTHING about geese but I am asking for my MIL, her gander disappeared and she is now left with 3 female geese. I am ordering a pair of geese with my next shipment of ducklings so she can either have the pair or just the male... when can the goslings be safely introduced to the adults geese? Thanks in advance!

If you can read goose body language you should be able to tell if the adults are just curious, want to mother them or want to chase them off. In my case it was very apparent that the goslings wanted to be with the geese and the geese came close to breaking down the fence to get to the goslings. So I turned them over to the geese and saved myself all the time and mess of brooding them. The geese did a wonderful job of taking them in and caring for them! Just be sure your feed is good for goslings and they can get clean fresh water.
