Hi, I’m a noob

Rosie, welcome home to BYC. I have been wanting to try the polish chickens for a while. Will you let us know how they work out, I am just curious...
I’d be very happy to. They are very funny interacting with the mixed flock. They love the kitchen scraps and guard them more fiercely than the other breed. They definitely feel the cold more and I often catch them sleeping in the nest boxes when it’s sub zero.

My husband is an avid Preacher fan with all of the comics from his younger days. That coupled with a friend who works at an animal shelter led to us picking up a Maine Coon. She’s an absolute sweetly. Had her just over a year. Had lived in a bedroom with 5 other cats for her first 2 years of life so joining our mad house has been a learning curve for her. She’s fantastic with every chick ( I had a real problem walking past chicks in tractor supply last year), she walks around in the garage with any chickens that are segregated and is great at sharing cat food.
