Hi, my roommate and I are college students living in rural/suburban Georgia who decided to take up backyard chicken raising together. We’ve had chickens for about nine months now, and we have 3 fully grown Rhode Island Red hens, and a Buff Orpington, Black Australorp, and Silver Laced Wyandotte who are about 4 months old now. So six chickens in total.

Personally, I have found the Topic of the Week articles a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.

As N F C hinted, if you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out
