Hi i am Emily and live in the Yorkshire Dales in England I have 4 ladies and just hatched some chicks one has not hatched HELP

I have a 24 day old egg in the incubator, it hasnt started pipping so i candled it… not any movement :-( should i give it up?

Thank you so much. I had 3 viable eggs. One hatched on day 19. It seemed fine. By this time i had a broody hen so gave the chick to her and she did so well. Unfortunately after 36 hours i noticed something wrong with it i looked on here of course and found that it was the yolk sack that it missed out on having before it hatched and it didnt make it😢 egg number 2 hatched on day 20 and went with mamma hen and is thriving. This is the last one xx

What species of bird? If chicken, go to the article tab, read the article about assisted hatch. It may or may not be alive, but it’s schrödinger’s chicken right now, so maybe you should open the box.
