Hello fellow animal enthusiasts. I'm new here. I looked up selective breeding of chickens on a whim and by chance happened on this site. I originally didn't think much of chickens but when I saw some of the crosses, polish crossed with turken or naked neck. I was intrigued.
I grew to see the possibilities. I want to selectively breed a featherless chicken with a crest like the polish or frazzled, and feathers on its wings and tail. So it kind of looks like a raptor dinosaur. I could possibly land on a really cool looking breed of chicken. And everyone who raises chickens as a hobby could benefit from that, right?

hi and welcome. Your project sounds intriguing. Hope you will post pics of your progress. In some ways such a bird could be practical, in other ways not so much. Practical at processing, not having to pluck. But the cost of keeping these birds protected from extreme weather might be prohibitive. Will watch your progress with interest!
