Yes, we just got 4 Barred Plymouth Rocks, hopefully pullets from TSC, though I have my doubts that they are ALL girls!!

Just 4 babies, but I'd like more already

Barred Rocks, but I'd love some bantams!

I am an artist, I live in the Smoky Mountains and enjoy all things outdoors. We just bought a house on a mountain, and are in the very early stages of becoming more self-sufficient.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I have a husband, also an artist/teacher, and two little girls ages 8 and 4. We have 2 geriatric cats and a mountain mutt dog who likes to mother the baby chicks--he always herds the kids in the yard and is very protective of us ever since we rescued him from a dumpster as a puppy, he looks like an Irish Wolf Hound shrunk down to 1/3 the size lol, and I'm hoping his herding and protection tendencies will work well for chickens.
