Hey everyone! So I'm super new to chickens, never had any before and my husband and I always said that if we had a big enough yard we would get some. Well the time has come and we went to our local tractor supply store and they had ISA brown hens and well now we have 4 chicks to add to our fluffy friends. We also have two Alaskan Malmutes and a not so fluffy chameleon unless you hassle him and the he puffs up. :) Super excited to have the chickens and start building an awesome coop!

Welcome to BYC I would start on my coop as soon as possible. They grow up so fast one minute they fit in the palm of your hand next they are flying around like little monkeys. Jumping off the water containers and feed dishes. Then all the sudden they are getting out of the brooder running around. So hurry and get the coop started. Enjoy your adventure its a lot of fun. The chick you see in the picture on the side is one of my chicks from April she's full grown now and we are waiting for eggs any day now so it don't take long.
