Hi,

:welcome

Hope the rooster issues are resolved...thanks for joining us!
I'm not too worried about the roosters. They needed a new home fast, and they got one. At least one has, and I will be offering a free rooster to anyone in middle TN willing to pick up. I've got a trade line up in April on a couple of hens, also barred rocks. I like hearing my rooster and hope to be able to give him a permanent home. I'll do my part 200% to help him adjust. I have faith in him. I have patience with animals. I've dealt with abused dogs, and horses. This has got to be better than an abused horse. LOL

Welcome! Thanks for giving the roosters a chance!! You have the right mindset and hopefully can work this out with patience (and a lot of treats and handling.... carefully). Check out the learning center, there is a coop section. Many sizes, tractors as well as stationary coops. Some prefab, some ‘homemade’. Anything from recycled and repurposed to elaborate chicken palace is represented. Good luck and enjoy your new experience as a ‘chicken tender’ :wee

Hello! Welcome to BYC!! :frow

That's great you're giving them a chance. Sometimes that's all they need.

Have you gotten your coop/run planned out yet?

If you have any interest, and have photos and plans/details of the coop you've built (or are going to build), there is a coop article contest going on right now! Here is a link:

Feel free to check out the links below for some interesting reading. Good luck on your adventures!
