Hi!
I've been wanting to own chickens since I was a kid, but I've never been able to until now. After lots of moving we finally live in a town that allows chickens, we have the proper size property to abide by the town ordinance (barely, but we do...), and we won't be moving again anytime soon. So I'm here to learn and ask lots of questions.
I have no chicks or chickens currently, but I do have a coop that I got second hand and I'm getting ready to build my run. My coop is not my dream coop, but I have a small budget, no building experience and I have to borrow any tools I use from people I know in our new town, so we're just going to start small and hopefully get bigger as we gain experience and more power tools.
I also have 3 little kids, a "rotten shepherd" (rottie/gsd mix), and a really great husband who doesn't like chickens or building things but wants his wife to achieve her crazy chicken dreams.
I was told to join here by someone I know with chickens because you all are so friendly and smart! I'm super excited to join this community and soak up all of your wisdom.
