hello, my name is Emily I have a cat named thor and he is 2 almost 3 in October. I am worried about him. He has a lump on his neck it doesn't hurt him, but I just realized his flea collar made his neck raw. What do I do... I am afraid something bad is going to happen....

I cannot say for sure because I am not a vet, but if you can afford a trip to the vet that might be a good idea. My last farm cat with a lump like that ended up being really sick, but it was cancer so we decided to let her finish her life on the farm while treating pain as it came and euthenize when pain was beyond help. She was not very tolerant of being indoors and forcing her indoors for treatment would have made her last days miserable.

Emily, take the flea collar off and put some antibiotic ointment on any open sores. Lumps on kitty’s are not normal. You really need to take Thor to a veterinarian as soon as possible.
