Hi! Nice to meet you all!
I’ve been viewing backyard chickens for a while and have decided it’s time to get an account. I’m really excited to join this community!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I got my first baby chicks about a week ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I currently have nine chicks and am getting eight more in a week
(3) What breeds do you have?
my nine current chicks are Easter Eggers and the next eight will be production red.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I’m new to chickens so I don’t know that much yet but so far the anticipation of what they will look like and what eggs they will lay is My favourite part. Also seeing how fast they grow and just watching them get bigger every day.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love to bake, play piano, and crochet.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a dairy cow named “Sweatpea” and a llama, as well as two cats and a bunny. I’m in my third year of my undergrad to hopefully become a veterinarian someday
