Hi! From Long Island Ny! We've been raising chickens for 11 years. We have 5 kids 2 HUGE dogs, 28 chickens, and 32 in an incubator THAT, just started to pipe through this is our first incubator hatch! I've always used a hen. This is much more nerve racking!! And I totally feel like I'm giving birth! Lol (PROUD MOMMA!!) NICE TO MEET YA'll!!

1st lil chicky to hatch 5th generation olive egger!! awwwwwwwww! What was soooo cool was seeing the umbilical cord still attached to the membrane, you don't get to see that with a broody

Congrats on the first hatchling!! Incubating your own eggs is very rewarding. It never gets old watching an egg turn into a tiny life. My heart still melts at the sight of a hatching baby, no matter how many times I have seen it.
