Keldwyn giggled softly, "I don't know why, but this seems so strange. Sitting by a fire, watching and waiting for your food to cook."She said.

"I don't know." He gritted his teeth. He concentrated and the ice started to melt away.

"Then you just stay over there. I don't trust you to keep your cool." Rex said

"Hey." Kristen smiled and gently put her hand on his arm,"Thanks for saving me. I don't know what that panther would've done to me." She shuddered.

"That panther never would have laid a claw on you, if I had stayed alert and hadn't let my guard down. I'd become complacent and started feeling safe here. But I was a fool, because there is no safe place." Orson said sadly.

Rex dodged little bits of Brad, that flew everywhere. "You monster! How dear you do that to him!"

Rex and his team did the same. He got up and said, "No, we are beyond that. We're talking threat assessment and neutralization. You are a danger to everyone and everything."

Kristen hugged him,"That isn't important. We both felt safe here so it wasn't only you. What's important is that nobody died, and nobody is hurt because of you. You saved me, and the lioness, and the boy. You probably saved the panther too. That's four people in ten minutes. There may not be "a safe place" but you certainly made it safe. If you weren't here probably someone would've died." She smiled, and brushed a kiss on his cheek.
