Markus glared at Don for a moment, then turned his attention to Xavier and snapped, "Don't you have anything better to do, then to haunt my office?!"

Xavier causality thumbed through a book and didn't bother looking at him as he spoke. "Nope, not since you stole my son. Family time is no longer important when it's just yourself."

Markus glared at him and finished off his drink, before settling the tumbler down on the desk top. He then sat and fired up his computer. "Fine, suit yourself. But for the record, Storms apprehension was due to your betrayal. On two separate occasions. So who's the father of the year? Not you!" He then dismissed Xavier from his attention, as he focused on other matters.

Graydon twined his fingers with hers. Happy his unspoken desire was answered. He soon closed his eyes and listened to the birds singing.

Garth looked up as Jackie walked in. He smiled happily, as he looked up from his book. "Jackie! You're back, I'm happy to see you again. " he said carefully.

Cadeon chuckled softly, "Very well spoken, kiddo. " He praised as he winked at Jackie. She looked tired. "Hey, why don't you have a set here. I've warmed it up for ya. You want me yo get you something? " He asked curiously.

Jaxon stepped out of the vehicle cautiously. The doctor was a good thing, he remained himself. It would get that tracker thing out. So he smiled an followed Skylar.

Zypher came out refreshed and casually dressed. A tee shirt and sweatpants. Something he'd rarely wear, but decided to comfortable for once. He noticed Anna on the couch and paused long enough to steal a kiss before he too headed in for something to eat.

Luce wrapped her arms around him tightly. "I love you, Jason. I know it probably too soon to say that, since we haven't officially had our first date yet. But that's how I feel you in my heart. You are my other half. " She said against his neck.

Elina took it and bit a piece off. She chewed it with enjoyment. When she swallowed, she asked, " After we eat, do you want to go for a walk? There's so much to show you here."

Don settled in on the bed, watching how Marcus treated his people. Either they were playing a pretty good game, or this guy was the worst leader there was.

Kyra soon fell asleep by his side, turning to cuddle with him when she did

"You are learning quickly" Jackie said and smiled at Garth then took a seat at the table "Thank you Cadeon, I am tired. I'm just going to eat then rest for a while." She explained "Too much magic use in too short of a timeframe"

Skylar waited for him, knowing he had to be a bit scared of the doctor, given where he came from "Once he has the tracker out and gets you patched up from that, he'll leave" She said softly

Anna smiled when he passed through then got up to get her shower, changing into comfortable clothes also.

"I love you too" Jason said and kissed her again. He smiled down at her then sighed "I will come back for you once this war is over" He promised

"I would like that, mu own guided tour" Aaron said and smiled at her, watching her eat the snowball.

Markus silently replayed the surveillance from his office. He started from the time he'd left the room. He slipped an ear piece in to listen. He looked between the two as he heard their hushed conversation. When he was done he logged out and leaned back in his chair.

Graydon froze at first, unsure if this was alright. But he slowly relaxed when she didn't pull away. He savored her warmth as it seeped into his side. He smiled softly, truly feeling a closeness with her. It obviously ment that she trusted him to keep her safe. That filled his heart with pride.

"What do you want? I'm a pretty good cook. " Cadeon offered as he looked into the fridge. "I can make a pretty mean grilled cheese sandwich."

Garth beamed at her praise. Then went back to reading.

Jaxon nodded understanding and walked with her. He dared to trust Skylar. So he believed her unquestionably.

When Anna came back out, Zypher was in full sprawl. Feet up on the coffee table and his plate resting on his chest, as he watched TV. At least until he saw Anna. He watched her intently as she walked into the room. She was so sexy in whatever she wore. He patted the cushion next to him, like a boy with a boyhood crush. Hoping the object of his affection would grace him with her presence. For added effect, he wiggled his eyebrows and bribed her with a pizza roll. Not the best tibbit to entice. But it was to be expected when teens bought quick food for the freezer.

Luce looked up at him. "I've been practicing my shooting with Ashton. So I'm getting very good. Maybe we won't have to wait until the end of the war. Perhaps just until I'm able to help defeat Markus better. " She said hopeful.

Elina smiled devilishly at Aaran and said, "Yes, and I know all non-tourist spots."

Markus was listening to his Demos as she talked to him. He the answered her aloud, "Yes, I would. I think now is a good time. Pariah, manifest thy self." In a flash of violet light, the demos appeared by his side.

Pariah smiled at Markus as she strolled around the side of his desk, drawing her fingernail along the marble top. She then turned her attention to the other occupants of the room. The wolf shifter and Xavier. The warlock was staring at her slightly confused. She slowly walked over to the couch and retrieved the collar laying there. She looked it over and ran her fingers over the thick herringbone chain that was about three inches wide. She looked back at Markus with a raised eyebrow.

Markus nodded slowly and sent her a masked look over his temple fingers, as he watched her closely.

She bowed her head and spoke softly in her native tounge. When she finished, she brought her lips to it and kiss the smooth metal of the collar. She glanced over at Xavier, before she strolled over to him. She held the collar up and focused on her words to ask, "You made this one special, no?

Xavier swallowed, before nodding his head. "Yes, Markus told me what he wanted and I made it." He explained.

While he talked, she walked a slow circle around him. She paused when she reached his back and leaned over his shoulder to ask further. "So you know what it's made to do, no?" But before he could respond, she snaked the collar around his neck and locked it into place. At his unexpected gasp, she said darkly, "Good, because you have created your own collar, warlock."

Xavier frantically tried to get it off. But his release spell no longer worked.

Markus stood and walked over to Xavier and smirked. "Now you can get out of my office. And if you're real smart, you'll leave without a word. " He said with a menacing note to his voice.

Xavier straightened and turned to leave.

Graydon smiled as she woke and asked, "Hey, did you sleep well? "

"Thank you, sweetness." Cadeon said with appreciation. He kissed the nape of Ember's neck as he passed to the stove. She prepared them and he fried them up. A perfect team.

Jaxon nodded and held out his hand to shake. "Pleased to meet you sir. Thank you for your help in this matter." He said with respect for Skylar's father. He couldn't help looking around the house. He'd never see the likes. It was vastly different from the sterile environment of the labs.

"Just to prove how much I care, I'll let you choose whatever you want to watch. " He grinned happily as he handed her the remote-control.
~~~
"As do I. It has to end sometime. I'm so sorry you father was taking. He really is a special man and I see him in you Jason. He would be so proud of what you are doing. " Luce said with a sheen of tears.

Elina took his offered hand . She stood and smiled. "There are such wonders here that you'll think them fantasy." She explained as she retained his hand and lead him from the fire.

"Wrong with who?" She asked confused. But then she heard Jackdaw's muffled voice.

"My master is in trouble! I have to get to him. It hurts and it's very uncomfortable to disobey him. Dawn? Please let me out. Pretty, pretty please. " Jackdaw said.

"Oh! Dawn, that's a minion spell. But he had....no, he gave you his protection pendant, I remember now. We have to break it. But in doing so, will reveal who and what he is. But if we don't, he'll get very sick and possibly die. It's a nasty spell. " Absmi said, as she looked to the door worriedly. She thought frantically on who they could trust .

Pyro recognized the geographical location and started his decent.

Degan followed his example and landed beside him.

Aeval looked up at their cave in the cliff and asked, " Going up this way or around the back?"

Dawn fell silent. Either way Jackdaw may die. "If there is anyone we can trust that can break it...please find them. I will protect him the best I can and if they desire to kill him, they will have to kill me." Her tone was firm. She knew what protecting him would cost.

Shane smiled and shook hands with him "My pleasure. I like making that creep lose all those he has harmed, even if only in this way." He said then motioned them over to the table "Come, let's get that thing out of you so we can all relax a bit. My driver's got some steaks going out back"

Anna chuckled and took the remote "Oh, that can be a dangerous proposition" She teased and turned on the tv guide so she could see what was on now "What if I wanted to watch HGTV?" (Home improvement channel, lol)

Jason nodded and hugged her close again. He didn't want to cry, that would be giving up in a way on the elder and he couldn't do that, not yet anyway.

Aaron was glad enough to leave the vicinity of the fire, but to be with her again just made it that much better. He smiled as he walked with her, ready to see whatever she had to show him now that they were in this realm.

Don frowned at the scene, but there was nothing he could do at the moment, so he remained silent and still, just watching them. This was a rather interesting development, one they hadn't known about or counted on.

Kyra blushed a little and sat up, rubbing her face then looking to him again "I did, a nap can be a wonderful thing" She said then glanced around them. She was glad that he had stayed with her, and that nothing had disturbed them while she was asleep

Aaron was glad enough to leave the vicinity of the fire, but to be with her again just made it that much better. He smiled as he walked with her, ready to see whatever she had to show him now that they were in this realm.

When the door shut behind Xavier, Markus turned his attention back to Don. "The look on you face when he bought that collar in was priceless. No, I'm not going to collar you. That's way I had this cell made special. That way we can study one another. But mainly so I can keep my eyes on you." He said matter of fact, as he sat down in his leather chair.

Pariah went and curled up on the couch. She watched them silently from her spot.

Jaxon nodded and walked over to the table. He noticed the instruments and recognized a few of them. He steeled himself and sat down in the chair forcing his fear away. "Why stakes? Guns are better weapons." He explained to him. D )

Zypher eyes got big. "You love that channel too! I refurbished this penthouse myself by watching HGTV. That settles it, I'm definitely keeping ya!" He said with enthusiasm.

Luce melted into his embrace. For soon he'd be gone, far from her reach.

They walked in the forest for a time. Then they came to a cave with a pool of water at it's mouth. She said in shock, "It's still here. The creatures that call this place home are called gakld. Ummm...in translation percussion fish. Watch. " She said as she picked up a small pebble and tossed it aginst the cave wall. So it knocked other loose rocks free. As the rocks hit the water. A hundreds of neon lights glowed and changed intensity with the sound of the rocks falling. Like a coordinated laser show. When the last rock dropped, it went dark again. She grinned at Aaran and handed him a stone.

Dawn shifted and sat in front of the door.

Dust shifted and climbed on. "Than we shall do that." 

"Dawn, please let me out. I don't like tight spaces. I was locked in the tower for a very long time. Please, Dawn. If you care at all, let me go to my master." Jackdaw said piteously.

Absmi remembered then what Qdoba had told her about Princess Star starting her magic training. Maybe she would help. Just maybe she knew the counter spell. She headed for Princess Star's quarters. She just hoped Falkirk wasn't there.

Pyro and Degan shared a look and smiled as the said, "So we're we!" They then laughed lightly, as the headed for their cave.

"Yes we shall!" Aeval said as she leapt intothe air and flapped furiously to fly straight up the cliff face to the cave.
