Anubis laughed with wistful abandonment at Slygotha's masqueraded. "You know the plight of lowly humanity so well. It is a wonder you have not infiltrated them before. "He said with amusement as he also witnessed the indignant woman.Slygotha pushed the tarp flap aside that draped beneath the stilted shanty house. She was walking while rebraiding her hair, the freshly plaited locks eventually piled like a crown on her head. She knew by observing that many human females with children here kept their hair covered, so she snagged a loose cotton cloth to wrap about her head.
"Bleh, so many pointless rules of conduct constrain these humans. Even clothing has rules, when you watch closely what they are wearing. My wyrmlings, you could be mistaken for any common street urchin that ever ran unwashed through the dusty roads. What say you, Anubis? Could we pass for a lowly family, possibly a widow and her poor children, beneath the notice of society? " Slygotha mock swooned, a slight smile flavoring her melodramatic pose. "Oh, helpless me! I am but a poor woman with my young children, and we are so helpless! Won't anyone do something?"
The house wife from the neighboring hovel peeked out of her kitchen, rolling her eyes and huffing with contempt. Slygotha caught sight and snickered.
Valstath tipped his head not understanding what he'd missed. He looked to his siblings to see if the could explain of if they were equally lost.
Razeth was tugged at his britches with annoyance at the restrictions they presented. He growled softly and didn't notice the conversation. It wasn't like they knew the language.
