Bertram looked to the giant with a critical eye. Looking for a possible solution.

Aeval hadn't tried to call upon diamonds intentionally. But thought it would hold better then glass. She passed control of flying over to Pandora. been practicing and was pretty good at it now. That say she could focus on calling to the diamonds. A long moment passed with nothing. So she intensified her instinctual call.

Zypher looked around as the earth started shaking. He didn't understand what was happening. The other shifters didn't seem to know either. That's when shards of crystalline substance shot up out of the ground. Zypher stumbled back, as he was almost impaled. But he looked up as it sliced through the flesh of the giant's arm and expanded to form a cuff. He hyena laughed at the amazing turn of events. He called to his pack mates in pure elation. He then looked for his darling Anna. He saw her with Jason and some other wolves, Keira was among them. He shifted and headed over to them. "Jackie must be here, with that bit of good timing. First he slowed and no this." He said relived, as he looked back at the giant.

Aeval looked to Aurora and said, "I may have over done it." She then watched as it encapsulated the giant's arms.

The giant screamed in pain and suffering as he fought hard aginst his restraints. Not understanding his loss of strength. How could these puny things best him. He was all powerful and they were not. He beat his head against the ground as he tried desperately to break free. Blood seep from his wounds and caused the ground around him to become saturated.

Markus watched his various types of hybrids working alongside the regular shifters. It was ironic that the creatures he'd created to destroy them, we're now working to save them all. He was surprised to see the Gen-one still alive after that death spell. As well as the goblin mix. He really had to meet this witch of theirs. That when a white winged lion caught his attention. "Degan!" He said with enthusiasm. As then started sneaking in that direction.

Aurelius shifted to her human form and smiled gently to Danika. She slowly walked to the threshold of the parted plants and sat there. "I know you are scared, but despite our violence down there, we will not hurt you. My name is Aurelius and the winged lion there, is Degan." She explained in a soothing voice. At the intensified screams of the giant, she herself flinched.

Racine smiled at Aaran's meaningful glance. "That is true, I'll give to that. But earth could never be my home. Perhaps I've lived to long to change my ways." He said reflectively. A flash of a portal drew his attention. He "No!" He ordered as Enoch and Castiel went for their weapons. "It's just Ender, I gave him a direct portal to me." He replied honestly. They settled once again, as Racine looked up expectantly.

Ender looked around and stated the message that Avalon had told him.

Kyra grinned and nodded "That should be fun, we can see all kinds of stuff out there especially now that it's getting darker" She said happily. She got up and headed for the door, slipping out and down to the ground quickly.

"Do not let that falter" Aurora asked then flew up to hover over the giant. She knew that was about all Jackie could do without crossing over into dark magic, so they would have to finish the giant off themselves. She hesitated then took a deep breath before diving down, sing dragon fre to make a path through to his heart to end his suffering and the battle.

Anna turned and went to Zypher when he came to her, grateful he was alive and unhurt.

Ember frowned and clacked her beak, flying over to one of the trees in the area to watch Marcus

Danika flinched at the giant's screams then went to Auralius to hide her face against the woman's side. A small whimper was the only vocalization she could do for the moment, but she seemed to know that they were not going to hurt her.

Aaron looked to Ender at his arrival, curious about the winged fay. He thought it was neat that he had wings showing like that. He was curious and fascinated, but he was able to maintain his silence this time at least outwardly. To Elina he had to ask about them "Why does he have wings? Is it so he can deliver messages faster?"

Kyra grinned and nodded "That should be fun, we can see all kinds of stuff out there especially now that it's getting darker" She said happily. She got up and headed for the door, slipping out and down to the ground quickly.

Zypher hugged Anna in celebration of their victory. He whimpered in Anna's ear, " You my dear, look mighty sexy at war. I could barely keep my eyes off you." He then growled softly as he straightened up to go hug Jason in a brotherly way. " Despite the insurmountable odds, we prevail with a little help from our friends." He replied.

Markus stopped in his tracks. It had grown quite except for the cheers of victory. He stepped forward out of the tree line to see into the clearing. The giant laid dead with a hole in it's chest. Markus knew the tide was about to turn on him. He saw his wolf hybrids roaming around, he called them back to him through the spell link. As he took stock of how many had parished, he was pleased to still have seven. He then faded back into the tree line and mounted the largest wolf and held on tight as he command it to head out to rendezvous with the caravan that was in route back to base.

He'd turned to watch the girl as she moved to Aurelius's side. She gently stroked Danika's beautiful white hair, while making soothing sounds. A unicorn should never know such violence.

Elina smiled as answered Aaran mentally. "He's also a Sylph, the same as Castiel. They do use their wings for that and battle. They have no magic of their own. Unless they are giving talismans and such. Like my brother gave him a portal key to his person. Very rare and not done lightly."

Racine smiled and looked to his entourage and asked, "Is everyone ready? I'm looking forward to sleeping in a bed and not a cot." He stated as he put his hand on his lower back and stretched.

Elina stood and offered Aaran her hand. "Please, you call you bed a cot, when it takes four fey to move it." She teased him playfully.

Enoch smiled as he to straighten from his chair. "If a cot is what you're looking for, you can always trade for mine, my king." He said with a chuckle.

Aurora came back out and looked around before heading for water to wash off in. She was not going back to her daughters smelling of war. She had noticed that Marcus had disappeared while she flew over the battlefield and idly wondered what the city humans would think if they could of seen this.

Anna hugged him then watched as he went to Jason. After a moment she looked around then left them to see if she could find Don anywhere. When she did find him, it was not a good sight, she cried out for the others then went over to sit beside the elder wolf. Don looked up to her and gave her a small smile, reaching up to touch her cheek "You and Jason have found your places, take the packs into the future." He said softly then lay back and closed his eyes. Anna shifted to her normal wolf to start a lament for her father.

Jason returned the hug and smiled, looking to the giant "Now that is something no one can say they have done. Who knew we could actually work with Marcus to a common end?" He asked then started the wolves to gathering the dead and injured to be taken care of and given proper rights. When he heard Anna's howl, he and the other wolves looked that way, all that could shift did so and ran to her, gathering around and joining in

Danika looked up to her when silence fell for a moment though the silence was soon broken by cheers. She was scared to look back to the clearing, but did when the wolf howls started. "Aurelius, they sound sad" She said quietly then looked to the woman again, her blue/grey eyes big and showing tears that she didn't cry.

"I am ready to go" Aaran answered and grinned "I would like to see the light castle closer." He added then looked to Elina and took her hand in his. He was curious about the place since she had seemed to be effected by it so much earlier.

Nashton and Taylor looked over as they set down the body they'd be carrying. The watched in silence as the observed the wolves. Nashton sighed softly and whispered, "You" He hugged Taylor tightly as she offered him comfort. Despite his efforts of being strong, he dissolved into tears.

Once Markus caught up, they loaded up the wolves and he headed for a vehicle in front.

Aurelius nodded as she closed her eyes. "I know Danika. Their alpha died. Don died as he lived, free of chains and for a cause of his choosing. While protecting his loved ones and ensuring their future for generations to come. That is a great death, for an even greater man." She explained sadly.

Degan gasped at the news. He shifted and looked down and the wolves mourning his passing.

Ender glanced over the four and turned to open the portal back to the castle.

Elina squeezed Aaran's hand gently. She became a little nervous. But with him by her side, she could conquer anything. "I can do this, don't be afraid. " she thought to herself. As the others stepped through the portal.

She raised her head to look towards the wolf song that could be heard for miles. It was for all those who had died in the battle, though foremost for Don.

Anna turned to Zypher when he joined them, pressing close to him to just breath for the moment. Once the song slowed to a stop, she looked to Jason and stepped away from Zypher to stand and face her brother. The twins stood like that, nose to nose before both lowered their heads to eachother and turned to the packs.

"Jason is the Alpha of the Guardians now, are there any who challenge?" Anna stated clearly, pressing her feelings back to get through this ceremony now. No wolves challenged and Jason looked to Anna then over to her pack. "You should name your pack sister, it grows fast." He said then stood and looked over the wolves "Gather the fallen that we may honor their sacrifice this day" He said then shifted and went over to pick up Don to take him to the giant so they could be burned together. It would be a fitting tribute to their father.

Aeval was on the riverbank. As Aurora looked in that direction and asked. "What does that mean? " She asked curiously.

Markus pulled out his cell phone and dialed the contact number as they reached the Menagerie tunnel. He waited and when the call was answered, said three simple words, "Do it now." The ended the call. He'd chosen that sniper very carefully. It had to be someone Aurelius was really close to. So she was blind to him.

The sniper put his phone away and took aim at the newly appointed alphas. So nice of them to present themselves to him. He thought with satisfaction.

Jaxon was standing off from Anna, when he saw a green laser moving into position for a kill shot. But Anna wasn't close enough to push away and he knew he couldn't call out in time to save her, so he did the only thing he could think of with a split second notice, he stepped in the line of sight, mere moments before a short rang out. He'd tried warning her, but only got, "Anna, look o.." before he crumbled to the ground with a gunshot to the head. He looked for Skylar to see if she was safe and taking shelter, before his body started succumbing to his wound. He watched silently as he wondered what awaited him in his next life.

Zypher looked to the direction the sniper could be or where he'd choose to be if it was him. He saw a small rock cliff in the distance. When another shot rang out, he ducked as he looked for the next target. This time it struck Keira, because she had tackled Jason to the ground. "Cover the Alphas! They're only shooting for them!" He yelled as he looked to see their pack already running to surrounded Anna and getting her to safety. Nashton, Taylor, Garth and the few hyenas formed a living circle around her. Zypher started running to get a weapon and offer cover fire.

Markus smiled happily as they drove into the freight elevator and started the journey down. The rest of the caravan lining up in the tunnel to wait their turn.

Aurelius was quiet a moment, before she said sadly, " Yes, it is very sad." She then explained, "I saw you in a dream. It's a very beautiful name."

As they came out of the portal, they were in the great hallway that led to the throne room. Ender looked back at them cautiously, as he led the way to Avelon.

Racine straightened his attire and led his entourage as they fell in behind him. Castiel to his left and Enoch to his right. While Elina and Aaran was at his back.

Skylar hadn't left Jaxon yet, moving to his side and laying down to be less of a target but not wanting to leave him. She glanced to the mountain, flicking an ear towards Zypher's words then moving to take his shirt in her teeth so she could get Jaxon and herself near the giant.

Danika nodded, relaxing a bit before the gunfire started again. She jumped at the shot then sat up and looked around even as she reached for Aurelius' hand "Come to my cave, it's not scary there"

Aaron looked around the hallway in awe, pausing to look at the paintings curiously. This place was magnificent. Prettier than the museum he had had to go to when he was still a school aged kid, before his powers had gotten out of control.

Sorcha looked to King Racine and his entourage curiously as they entered the hallway. She had been curious and wanted to see them before the trial started.

Skylar hadn't left Jaxon yet, moving to his side and laying down to be less of a target but not wanting to leave him. She glanced to the mountain, flicking an ear towards Zypher's words then moving to take his shirt in her teeth so she could get Jaxon and herself near the giant.

Danika nodded, relaxing a bit before the gunfire started again. She jumped at the shot then sat up and looked around even as she reached for Aurelius' hand "Come to my cave, it's not scary there"

Aaron looked around the hallway in awe, pausing to look at the paintings curiously. This place was magnificent. Prettier than the museum he had had to go to when he was still a school aged kid, before his powers had gotten out of control. 

Sorcha looked to King Racine and his entourage curiously as they entered the hallway. She had been curious and wanted to see them before the trial started.

Zypher was laying down cover fire, when he felt something tear through his upper chest. He gasped at the sudden pain, as he fell to the ground. He rolled onto his back in agony. He blinked up at the sky in shock. He heard his raspy breath and coughed up blood. He struggled to stay calm to lessen the need for air.

Orson saw Zypher get struck. He looked to Jackie, before opening a portal for her in case she needed it. He then cautiously made his way to him. He needed to heal him. He dived to the ground as he was shot at for his efforts.

Nektar ran over to pickup Jaxon for Skylar. He then hurried with her to the shelter of the giant. He laid him down gently and looked at the exit wound in Jaxon's face with a wince. He then took off his outer shirt and wrapped it around his head.

Aurelius looked to Degan and said, "Go! They need your help. I'll be safe with Danika." She then let herself be led by the unicorn.

Degan was conflicted. But looked to the battlefield and made his decision. He shifted and took to the air.

Racine glanced around the hallway and caught sight of Sorcha. She was a striking image of loveliness, standing in her curious scrutiny of them. He smiled pleasantly to her, as they drew closer.

Ender slowed and bowed, "Good evening princess Sorcha, you grace us with your presence. If I may I introduce our guests. This is King Racine, lord Enoch, lord Aaran, Lady Elina and Castiel." He said in formal introductions.

Racine slowly stepped forward and held out his hand to receive her's. It was an earth custom of greeting, where males brushed a kiss across the knuckles of a lady.

Elina curtsied respectfully. Her brother was more partial two earth titles. Then the prince and princess of this realm. She looked to Aaran to get his reaction to becoming a lord of Racine's castle.

"Zypher!" Anna cried out when she had glanced back to see him go down. She tried to get through the hyenas to get to him, but between them, Jason, the pack and Kristen, she couldn't. She growled then looked at those around her, pausing when she saw one male "Damon, did you tag him?" She asked, turning to him with her anger buried for the moment. The other wolf nodded and pulled out his phone to bring up Marcus' current location She paused and looked to Kristen "Can you get a portal open on that mountain?"

Jackie looked to the others then to her tattoo "Stone skin, right?" She asked before shifting to her new form and going to help them get everyone to safety. She would use herself as a living barrier so they could move the ones in harms way.

Aurora growled and flew to the mountain. She would use her body to block shots from there even as she headed to take out the sniper.

Skylar shifted, laying her hand over his chest when they were safe behind the giant. "Jaxon, no. Don't be dead."

Danika shifted after a while so she could run in her natural form. She just wanted to be away from the fighting though she wouldn't leave Aurelius now. She didn't know there was any other way to go.

Sorcha looked at them as they were introduced, giving a curtsey to the king but only dipping her head to the others as was custom. She returned her gaze to Racine, letting him take her hand though she wasn't certain what for until he kissed the back. "Welcome, I hope your stay is pleasant" She said gently, hoping that a war wouldn't break out while they were here.

Aaron looked over to the princess then to Elina when she curtsied. He bowed respectfully to her then looked back to Elina and smiled again. "Lord?" He asked through their link, not wanting to upset anyone here. He didn't mind the title at all, especially if it meant he could stay by her side. It was a less than a god, but he didn't press to be called that either.
