"Tight quarters make battle difficult for larger dragons. Ah, well, the biggest downside to being, well, big," sighed Asclepius. At least being a medic meant his primary function wouldn't be combat.

Xatia paused and looked to Asclepius. "It is my understanding that Dragons are kept down there. So maybe not as closed quarters as one might think. " She said with a grin.

Jason smiled and nodded "Good plan, hopefully we can get in and out and not have to fight too hard before we blow that place up." No way were they leaving it intact to be used again. A quick battle could also mean less injuries. He glanced to Anna, wanting to keep her safe.

Fay looked to Zypher and the other two alphas and smiled "I am ready to go in when you give the word" She informed softly

Aurora waited for him to get settled after she had taken her dragon form then took off, flying for the forest quickly. Who would have thought she would ever let a wizard ride on her back to battle a demon? Life certainly took some odd turns sometimes. When she saw the vans gathered together, she dropped down to land quickly and quietly near them.
~~~
Sorcha nodded and looked to him as they walked together to the stairs. "All I can think of to stop an attack like this is either muting the one delivering the attack or reflecting it back on them." She said, speaking privately as well. "The ones that can call water may be able to place a barrier up, though that wouldn't last too long...maybe a sound dampening bubble around the caster?" She was running through the possibilities in her mind, uncaring that they were being communicated to him even as she thought of them. "Or a counter-sonic, would they cancel one another out or just explode?" That one might be more dangerous and would need testing on a small scale first.
~~~
Foneth dipped her head then looked over to Ender "They must find their dragon forms and learn our magic and who knows how much time we have. I still would like to learn how you can still shift, being able to get to small spaces would be good." She said, chuckling a little at her thoughts then looking around "Though that may need an empty field so we don't cause damage in the first shift of the sylphs." She looked to Avalon again

Navar , Maxwell and Ackley waited for Fay to take them in.

Zypher looked to Anna and Jason to make that call. He glanced up as a shadow announced Aurora's arrival. Maxton came in close behind her in his Griffith form.

Xavier was reminded of the times Storm would fly hint upon his back as he dismounted Aurora. "It was an honor riding you, Aurora. Even if it brought back bittersweet memories of my son. Storm always did like to fly within the clouds. So as you can imagine, I couldn't see much that way either." He said with a chuckle.

Maxton shifted and headed over to his fellow Fae. He dipped his head to Kellan as he approached. "We were not followed. " He said privately.
~~~
Racine viewed Sorcha's thoughts as they flowed to him. He listened quietly to her as she thought of every aspect that would effect the outcome. Add his tibbits of perspective here and there.
~~~
Avalon looked between End and Foneth. "There is way that might work to help you experience how he shifts from within his very mind. It is a Fae custom, but since Sylphs are part part great dragons it should work too. Blood oath Ender and forge a blood bond. This could also work for his Sylph brethren. We have plenty of open fields for the safety of those learning the art of their shifts." She explained gently.

Ender looked to Foneth curiously. He awaited her decision on the matter. He'd do whatever was required for both his people.

Avalon glanced to Bardou briefly. Wondering if he had any ideas to that matter.

Aurora looked to Xavier as she returned to her human form then dismissed the cloud, it wasn't needed in the woods and could be detrimental here."There is nothing else like flying through the clouds. I am not surprised he would want to share that experience with you."

Kellan nodded, accepting his word then looking over to Fay and the others. "Soon we will get all those there free."

Anna looked to Fay then to the others before nodding "Let's begin this." She said, agreeing

Fay nodded and turned away, looking to the hyenas "Stay close until we arrive" She said in warning then closed her eyes, taking them away from the back road rendezvous and to the menagerie, hoping she had the place right to arrive in the security room.
~~~
Sorcha blinked and looked to him then blushed lightly "I let my thoughts trail off, didn't I?" She asked privately then looked around again "We are supposed to be tracking this one."
~~~
Foneth tilted her head at that and frowned a little "Blood oath?" She looked to Ender, uncertain about that, especially with his blood oath to Racine still active enough to use it before. "Would that interfere with your other oath?"

Bardou looked to Avalon then back to the dragons once more. "Well, if the stories from the first time are true, all it took was love and the willful desire to be a different shape. There was no specific spell then or even with Ender's shift."

Xavier smiled happily and nodded with that. "Yes, he's a hermit scholar, but once you get him to go outside, Storm knows how to have a good time." He said with heartfelt emotion. He looked to Aurora and asked, " Do you really think I'll get my son back? What if he's used aginst us and he's..." Xavier couldn't finish that thought aloud.

Maxton turned to watch the Goddess leave for Menagerie. "And end the threat of Pariah for good. " He said solemnly.

Jax was finishing his night report as Graff watched the monitors passively. "Looks like another day of boring Menagerie tv. Man, I wish I could have gone through with the others. I bet they are having loads of action and blowing things up."

Jax scoffed at Graff's enthusiasm. "Or killed or eaten. No thanks! I'm keep this nice cushy job right here. Boring predictability included." He said with a chuckle. When all of a sudden a bright flash blinded them both. To stunned, the fumbled for the panel to press the panic button. But was stopped short with a butt of a rifle to their heads.

Navar whooped as he smiled at Ackley. "Look at that! Caught our first rats! Did they sound the album? " He asked.

Ackley shook her head, "Nope! I busted his hand" She said with a grin. "Let's tie them up. We can't risk the gunshots." She ordered Maxwell.

Navar turned to Fay and said," Okay, we got it from here. Good luck out there."
~~~
" What you're doing is equally as important. Besides, I've been doing so while you were working on a solution. The trail ends here." Racine whispered through their bond. Dawn's death making more sense. "They must have killed her an their way out. They used her mirror portal to leave unnoticed. " Racine replied sadly.
~~~
Avalon frowned in thought. " With Fae it is an old custom and hasn't been in use for some time. I can't recall a double bond subject. Mainly because of its permanency. But my brother, untrusting king that he may be, uses it exclusively on his men. You see, one cannot block their mind with that type of bond. Hence why monarchies used it on their subjects and was called a blood oath." Avalon explained the history to Foneth. Avalon glanced back to Bardou as he added his own idea. "That could very well work. But love is a powerful motivator. But Foneth is not in love with any Fae." She thought aloud and looked to the great dragon princess.

Reaper was dodging gargoyles and getting over run with them. He roared his rage as they clung to his body and started prying the scales from his hide. He knew when the last of his breastplate scales was removed, they'd get their killing blow. He did the only thing he could with his arms weighed down with gargoyles, he fell forward with all his weight to the ground. His best attempt at protecting his heart. He was fast losing this battle. But he had a good run at it. His baby girl had got away and she was so clever that they wouldn't be able to find her. Reaper closed his eyes as he was being flayed alive. But just as he was accepting his fate, he heard a different kind of roar from over head. Reaper's eyes shot open in time to see frozen chunks of gargoyle parts litter the ground around him. What is this? An ice dragon? He thought with confusion as the crystalline dragon came into view and landed in front of him. Without missing a beat, he started ripping the gargoyles from his body. He'd then blast then with his ice breath and shatter them with the slightest blow. He tore through them like they were nothing. Reaper was stunned into staring. When the last of the gargoyles was vanquished, the ice dragon stood there and looked down at him mutely. Reaper closed his eyes once again, part in surrender and part too weak to care what was going to happen to him next.

Storm looked down at the once noble back dragon. For he was broken and bleeding out fast. Pure unadulterated anger flooded into Storm at the unfair treatment of his fellow brethren. How could Markus and his serpent do this?! He thought bitterly. Fuled with vengeance, Storm chanted a healing cloud and blew it at the downed dragon.

Reaper heard the soft muttering and braced himself for what he thought was happening, but when all his pain was taken away and his body mended all at once, he gasped in shock. But it was the strength that infused his body that surprised him most. "Why are you helping me?" He asked curiously.

Storm looked around at the stone remains of the destroyed gargoyles. "My father taught me to care. I'm Storm by the way. Markus and Pariah are after your family. They are there as we speak and she's cornered. She cannot sustain the magic she's expelling. It's only a matter of time before they prevail." He replied matter-of-factly.

Reaper reared up at that news. What Nidhogg had said coming into focus. His eyes shot to the direction of his mate, but before he could take to the sky, Storm's cool claw grabbed his shoulder. "Do you want my help?" He asked quietly.

Nidhogg slept hard, a rejuvenating sleep. She naturally drew from what energy was around her to slowly heal her. Nidhogg was almost hibernating. She would be hard to find under the swamp.

The explosion knocked several men down, and the closest ones out. Those nets would be useless now, but the anti-magic generator was unharmed. The people scrambled to check on the injured and bring those most injured to the center while one went to the generator and moved the power up a little, making the field move out by five feet in each direction. "Enough, dragon." One man said angrily and pulled out a Thermite grenade and launching it at where he thought the dragon's den was with protests from the woman. That would burn through anything and even burn underwater for a time
(Thermite is pretty cool though)

(I looked it up, hot stuff! With the sulfuric based acids bandied about, stuffs about to get real.) An object landed not far from the opening, off to one side. A second later, it started melting, burning through everything. The high heat started a chain reaction among the vines, and the acid. Slygotha felt the seating heat through her connection with the vines, and immediately cut her link, fleeing into the den. It was strange, unseeable explosions hidden by the dark, but the poison vines went up like kindling, reacting violently with the fire. When Slygotha cut contact, the second head she was going to ran into the field collapsed against the anti magic field, the fire igniting the gas emitted into an intense firestorm. The intensity of the fire sucked the oxygen from the air, but sulfuric acids and thermite don't need oxygen to continue burning. The whole landing became a flaming hell. Slygotha, wearing thin from the draw of magic, retreated around the corner and into the hoard cavern, hoping to be shielded from the intense heat, as hot as a red fire dragon. She hated the idea of them coming inside, and especially of those things touching her hoard. The very idea made her skin crawl. The fire destroyed and consumed all of the overgrowth, random explosions ensuing every time the fire reached a new flower.

Reaper was stunned once again. It wasn't common that different types of dragons offered assistance to eachother. But he put pride aside and dipped his head. "If that is what you are offering, then yes, I do. Help me save my family and I'll grant you free choice of anything in our hoard." He said with reverence.

"Payment is not required. This is personal to me too. They took someone from me. His death will have meaning. I will honor my father and all that he has taught me. Xavier in your name, I do this!" Storm vowed with a thunderous voice.

Reaper looked to Storm with respect for his words and actions. " Then let's ensure they suffer for their wrongs. For on this day, we are dragon kin united in a common goal." He said before launching himself into the sky with a mighty leap. He sent out a searching mental probe to Nidhogg and was comforted that she was safe and heal sleeping.

Storm waited for Reaper to get a distance before he spread his wings to follow after the black dragon.

( Good thing an ice dragon is coming! ;) )
