Asclepius gasped "a task for me already? I feel really special now!" He intoned with a deep, musical voice, his whiskers rippling. " Whom am I to follow?"
Fay dipped her head and smiled at him even as she accepted the water bottles from Anna "I need you to come with me, but we are going inside, so I need you to be in your human form" She informed gently

Slygotha'swhole body tensed as she saw 3 dragonkin fly into her den, treading over HER nest. They were obviously searching for something. She lay burrowed under the hoard, her teeth gritting. She HATED the though of those oafs touching HER gold. Despised it. Loathed it. She wanted to burst from under and rip out their throats, but she knew waiting would be better, at the moment. Let them get closer, so she could be sure to kill at least one. Her scent lay all over the cavern, and the smoke from the burning sulfuric based acid should cause extreme discomfort to the lungs of most anyone. Her eyes narrowed with burning desire. She knew they would violate her hoard.
The three dragons saw the hoard as they came in, but left it alone to look for the female and the babies. When they were not in sight, the three started moving the piles to search under them, calling out to one another. The language they spoke was one they had made up among one another, a mixture of draconic and english and every other language they had been exposed to in their short lives. One kept a watch over the area as the other two searched the piles for a hiding dragon

Storm stared with confusion as the hybrids joined the battle. He tried to blast the two who came at him, but his ice breath had no effect. It was easy enough to figure out why as they got closer. While looking to them, a anti magic grenade caught him unaware, allowing the more nimble dragons to gain purchase upon his wings. He was like an aerial bronco trying to shake them off with every move he thought would work. But the more he tried, the tighter they clung to him with their stingers effectively slipping underneath the armor plating of his scales to the soft vulnerable skin beneath. While their teeth shattered the scales and compressed his muscles of his his wings. He continued to struggle to just stay in the air. His magic now drastically depleted by the grenade. His only change was his physical strength, but that was waning fast. As exhaustion was magnified by the effects of the venom making its way into his bloodstream. His altitude declined slowly despite his struggles to the contrary. He roared in defeated as his tail and hind legs felt the unyielding ground first.

Reaper had his own struggles. Where his movement was drastically impeded by the electrified net dangling from his tail. He glared at the newcomer and hissed angrily. He resolved himself to his only viable option, he had to land and confront this new threat head on. Upon doing so, he used the debris wo clear the net from his tail and pick it up and flung it at the other dragon hybrid with an acid stream chaser.
The two that held Storm watched him and stayed on his wings as the humans came forward to finish knocking him out so he could be transported back to the lab. They all knew Marcus and Pariah would be angry at the dragon. Only after he was safely down and out would they leave to help their brethren.

That one banked to miss the net, twisting in the air as he came closer then retreated only to dive at him again. She was marking the area and keeping him distracted for the humans to come and waiting for them to bring more electric nets.
(lol, may have to name them 1 -6 to keep track)

Navar glanced back to the screens to make sure everything was still fine. He wondered where Markus was, but figured there wasn't a video feed to his office.
~~~
Zypher took Jason's hand gladly and gave it a firm shake. "Same to you, Jason. May the Valkyries favor us and have vengeance for our enemies." He said with conviction.
Racine twirled softly as he took Sorcha's offered hand for their trip back to the dungeons.
~~~
Ender saw her struggle to gain her feet and rushed forward, "Allow me to assist you, Foneth. " He said helpfully as he reached down to her.

Spyro fumbled with his balance and sat down on his hunches and thought about his Sylph form. In a flash, he was sitting on on his wings on the ground. He yelped in pain from the odd angle of his wings. He rolled and stood up immediately. "Mental note: don't sit while you shift." He said with humor as he shook out his wings.

The others laughed slightly as the spread out to practice with their shifts.

Jason smiled at that and nodded. He liked that. He turned away, looking around before going to his van again, getting his team ready for the attack to come and waiting for the fae to open the portals.

Kellan watched the dragon and Fay for a moment before turning back to his people "Come, let us begin this war." He knew it was time to go, while they still had the upper hand and surprise on their side.
~~~
Sorcha didn't stop the return twirl, smiling at him then watching where they walked as they went back to the dungeon to prepare the room and finish the portal to it. She just hoped it would be enough to stop these people. Magic draining glyphs were not easy to make but they were needed, as well as the sound dampening ones to take away that sonic power's ability.
~~~
Foneth smiled at him, accepting his hand as she gained her feet. She chuckled at how hard this was to her but soon enough found her balance. "Thank you. Two legs is not as easy" She muttered then looked over to Spyro as he shifted again. Ouch, that couldn't have felt good. "Are you alright?" She asked, hoping he hadn't broken any feathers.

Her guard was watching all this curiously and with a bit of trepidation. How was he to keep her safe in that small form? And possibly from the other sylphs? Yeah, he had noticed how they stared at her when she shifted.

"Consider it done, fair Goddess," Asclepius said with a bow. He returned to the human shape he had taken before, and followed her.

~~
Slygotha could hear them. She could hear them touching everything. Her rage was building. She could use that, when once one got close enough. She knew with dragon senses that neither she nor the wyrmlings could make a sound at this point. One was getting nearer, just a little bit closer, and she would have him. Just a little... Bit.... More...

Fay held her hand out to him to take him to the room with the strange rune on the door "We have to figure out what this rune does before we open it. Ravek's mate is in there and hurt. Do you know this rune?" She asked hopefully

~~~
The two continued searching for the dragons in the piles of gold and gems, while the third kept watch from above, searching for any movement that wasn't from the other two.
Asclepius squinted at the rune, rubbing his chin. " It looks familiar, but I don't think I have seen this one in a while," he stated. "Let me check on a reference in my office real quick."
Opening his briefcase, he jogged down the stairs. He scanned through some of the older scrolls in jars next to the desk.
"Aha! Here they are!" He exclaimed, holding up a pair of papyrus scrolls, colored with age. The scrolls were held together with magic, else they would have fallen apart long ago. He pulled open the scroll, revealing an ancient spell book in Greek, listing various runic spells from earlier times, both Greek, Sumerian, Egyptian, and various other ancient runic languages of Mesopotamia.
" They really didn't like whoever is in there much, did they?" He commented after they found a match in the scroll. " Either that, or she was such a handful they made sure she would stay in there."
~~
One of the youngling dragons stepped almost on her head. She took this opportunity to burst out and sink her teeth into the dragonkin's throat, attempting to tear it out using the element of surprise. She held it's neck with her foreclaws, sinking in her nails, preventing escape. The coins and gemstones flew up and around in a sparkling shower. Slygotha attempted to fill the throat wound with her acid spit, attempting to kill.
Fay followed him, looking to the scroll as he found it "They were both scared of her and wanted to keep her in one place. That is the fae princess inside there. Do you think you can remove it without it hurting her?" She asked hopefully as she looked back to the door, going up to look at the rune on it again
~~
The one she caught struggled in her grip, unable to even call out as she attacked.
The other two called out then lunged over to her, grabbing for her wings and calling on their ice breath to freeze the joints. They quickly moved, separating and watching her to see if she would try to follow either of them.
"Hmmm, I don't know, you don't see a lot of ancient runic spells used in the modern day, so I might be a bit rusty. If you'll trust me a little, I'm going to look carefully for any counterspells attached to this or for any triggers and whatnot first." Asclepius narrowed his gaze, his eyes turning gold. He looked for any hidden spells linked to this one, traps and conditions for opening, curses and the like. His hands took on the shape of his dragon claw as he traced the glowing letters on the walls and door. His eyes darted about, both hands extended as he motioned across the lines at various intervals. First one side faded as he disengaged the trigger mechanism, then another unlocked. One of the runes started pulsing rythmicly.
"That might not be a good thing," Asclepius whispered as the pulsing increased frequency.
He plucked a certain gem from his wrist, jamming it against the flashing rune. The light from the gem seemed to absorb the light from the rune, causing the rune to turn dark again. There was a soft click.
~~
Slygotha savoured the taste of dragonish blood from the youngling. Pulling back from it, a large piece tore from its throat. The ice in her joints burned with cold. She roared her rage, especially as they were touching her stuff. The cavern reverberated with her anger, huge stalactites dislodgingfrom the ceiling. She sent them raining down on the two dragonkin. Her wings ached and hung limp.
Shaylee moaned, waking from her sleep and holding her head before she sat up and looked to the door, frowning. Someone was there, she had to try to fight when they came in even though she felt weaker than before her nap. She started drawing what energy she had left to herself, preparing to use it in a single blast as soon as the door opened even if that would deplete her of all her magic.She felt Pariah's presence on the other side of the door before it the connection stopped for some reason. Maybe she was just too weak to feel it anymore? It didn't matter, she would fire at the first one to step through.
Fay watched him, worrying when the rune flashed and preparing to take them both out of the way of whatever happened if anything did happen. Thankfully he stopped it and made it safe, or at least stop flashing.
~~~
The two survivors headed for the entrance, calling out to one another as they did. One flew up to the ceiling and hissed at her from the front chamber while the other landed off to one side, waiting on her to make an appearance from her treasure room. They called out tauntingly to her as the humans prepared to fire their electric nets at the dragoness.

Asclepius was sweating as he pinched his fingers closed against the last rune. It wavered as it dissipated, as though fighting to stay in place. Glancing between the scroll and the door, he made a few more motions across the runes, tracing certain counterspells across the last runes to cancel them out.
"I think that's the last of it. You guys really put the screws to me, but it was certainly exciting! I'm just glad I have enough skill to pull it off! And, a little luck doesn't hurt," exclaimed Asclepius as he wiped his brow. He stepped back from the door with a bow.

~~

Slygotha, though enraged, would not pursue the two. She bristled with intense loathing, head lowered, every frill and spine standing on end. Gugol burrowed like a crocodile in the mud through the gold. She had hoped to take the hoard for herself when her parents were too old to guard it from her. She wasn't brave enough to outright attack anything yet, but if the humans came close, she would drag them under and tear them apart. Trogdor stood stupidly between Slygotha's forelegs and roared his squeaky wyrmling roar.
Slygotha's rumbling chest caused the very stones to vibrate in anticipation. A chunk of ceiling broke off hurtling the dragonkin to the floor.
