So Friday I picked up my first set of chicks to finally restart my flock. My last hen had died about two years ago, so this time I wanted guard geese. Well, I am in love with the geese!

And the little chicks have seemingly bonded nicely already to the three goslings.

Quick question: anybody know why they are green? And is it normal for them to just stand in their water?

and edit: when my next batch of chicks come in, Will the geese accept them?

thanks!

Hi and welcome to BYC. Like DL, I have never kept geese so I cannot help with your question. Chat with other BYC members nearby using the links in my signature, below (turn your phone to landscape to see them).
