Hinnies? Mules?

Are hinnies sex-linked? I've only ever bred Pekins, never crosses so I'm trying to learn here. I read an article that stated female hinnies will always look like a Pekin (white) and males will look more like a Muscovy. Is there any truth to this?

Also any facts/info/tidbits you can share on Muscovy/Pekin crosses would be awesome!

I have two mule ducks, I think they are a pekin X muscovy. I can tell you they are really nice ducks. So far as I know they are not sexlinked. I have read 60% will be a drake (not sure or that is correct) and they are sterile. In French there are a lot of them, bred for the fat liver. If you search for moulard you can find more info and pictures.
