I don't own any chickens but I have been interested in it on and off.I like to think of them as fluffy raptors. Unfortunately I personally cannot own any chickens due to being a college student but perhaps my grandparents can keep some if they want to. I've been talking about it with them, and I think an uncle talked about it because of the eggs they provide.

I've looked at the city ordinances and we can keep chickens in our backyards.

I know how to build things so I can make the coop instead of buying one. I can build one for my grandparents if they ever decide to have chickens.

I like to look up how to take care of animals before getting one and I have a long time before I can actually get a chicken. In the meantime, I can always learn more about raising chickens.

Welcome! One thing to remember is to make the coop fox proof. Also, try putting a clove of garlic in their water, to get them settled in once you get your chickens.
