So, I went outside to lock up my chickens for the night, and I noticed my rooster missing his left spur, leaving a pink nub. :sick I'm just wondering how it might've happened. I have no clue. :hmm:caf Advice would be appreciated!

Thanks!

They can break them off if they get stuck on something. My 6 year old rooster broke both of his off within 2 weeks a couple of years ago. I wouldn't do anything about it unless there is bleeding. Even at that it should stop on it's own. The tips may be a little tender, but his spurs will start growing back.
