I fought it for a long time but I too have come to really love the brooder heat plates. I have two of the Premier One heat plates. Years ago, I also built two of the old time Ohio hover brooders. I haven't needed them in a few years but I may need them again this year when I start hatching more than 50 chicks at a time.
