Sounds like he's acquired bacterial infection, if you don't treat him now he'll probably die. Follow the recommendations that people are suggesting.

Definitely start treating now. You can put him in a dog crate or something to let him start to heal up but I would definitely keep him I side for a while.

Wound was irrigated. Amoxicillin given directly to the wound and orally. Bandage it up. Consulted with a vet. Thank you all for help. I will update in a few days from now.
