Holes in there feet???

I look at them and forget....my roosters have holes in the webbing of there feet...just one foot and one hole...any ideas why? are they born this way???

Its like someone took a hole puncher and made it

they werent born that way he was what i call clipped when he was a day or so old its to tell different breeds or sexes i use to work on a chicken farm and the guy did this to tell breeds and thats exactly how they do it with a sharpened hole puncher

ahhh, makes sense....how funny I kept looking at it and thought "hole puncher"...and you said it was!!!! but I kept thinking he was born that way, I have 2-3 like that, only....then I thought it was deformed...
