Holland lops for 4H? Any advice on this breed?

My son wants to try rabbits next year for 4H, he really likes the looks of the holland lops, they are pretty adorable. Anyone have experience with them? Anything I should look for when making a purchase? Is there one color preferred over another?

Look up the standard on Hollands to help you pick nice stock. They are pretty sweet from what I know of them.

Holland Lops are INCREDIBLY sweet!! We had one, but had to re-home it due to our current living arrangements. We miss her so much.

Hollands are the sweetest buns. We raised and showed them for yrs.. What I recommend is looking for a show breeder, start asking questions about the breed. Most all breeders of quality buns will sit and talk to you. But they can help with what to look for in a bun. And will have a varity of colors to look at to see what color you like the best.
