Apart from breaking it open- you should be able to tell by candling it if it is 2 or three yolks inside. It has to hurt them laying something that big.

They are very hard to candle. The yolk just doesn't seem to stick out. Perhaps I need a better light. I think it is two. I will let you guys know once I crack it for cooking.
