It's a Northern Hemisphere thing, you aren't supposed to understand when you're upside down, down under.I still dont get the point of that, saying something incorrect on purpose.
The thing with No Crow Collars is they work...AS LONG AS YOU FOLLOW DIRECTIONS THAT COME WITH THE PRODUCT. I use one on my Roo and it cut the volume of his crow in half. Those people that have choked their Roo's with it, IMO didn't follow the directions. They couldn't have or their Roo's would be alive. Not sure about those no crow collars....
They put pressure on the neck.
I have read a few things about roosters choking to death trying to swallow food.
To me it's risky for the roo.

Well, he is a cockerel still and not even close to the same as a rooster. He is ABSOLUTELY beautiful and unbelievably sweet. One of the sweetest of our flock and an ultimate care taker. If ever I wanted to keep a Roo, it’s now.
I have a two year old hen that started crowing recently.OK so here is a dilemma, if she is a pullet that crows, she is technically NOT a Rooster, so in all actuality you wouldn't be violating the zoning ordinance.
