This is cool info. I am brand spanking new to buttons. Just got my first trio and eggs this past friday. Just got them a fancy cage today and im keeping my finger crossed for my 8 little eggs.

Barnyard, congrats on your new babies and sorry about your hen.

Lori, I have still have no idea what happened to the hen. All of the other's seem to be doing fine.


Update on the babies: I now have 8 new in the brooder and 1 drying in the bator....

I was gone all day yesterday so I wasn't able to get pic's but I will do that in just a few.





ETA: Make that 2 drying in the bator.....those 2 are just on day 13, but I guess they decided it was time to come out. I have been keeping my humidity alittle high though so that may have something to do with the early hatch.

Ok I got babies popping every where...... I have 3 drying in the bator now and 6 that I just took out of the bator and moved to the brooder. So in all I have 13 in the brooder and 3 in the bator....

I haven't got pics yet but I will. I have been outside most of the day moving hay and putting a tarp over my cochin pen.

I only eat marshmallow peeps, after roasting them over an open fire.
I would NOT eat baby buttons!!!!
