We saw some at the pet store last summer. The pet store people acted like they were able to be pet birds, not wild-ish. But being quail, I thought they would be more inclined to be wild. Sure were cute, though. Although the female in the tank was either molting or being bred a litle too roughly. Certainly would never spend the $25 per pair the store was asking for them

Those 2 birds are the only time I've seen them in any pet store in my area. So it could be they priced for novelty.

I still want some buttons even if they aren't cuddly. My d'Uccles give me all the bird cuddling I need

They love me no matter what!

Ok, update as of today.......7 little button babies and one exploded
egg.....

I have 9 eggs that are on day..."who knows", and 9 eggs that are on day 10.....

I will try and get some pics today.


ETA: I forgot to add that I woke up this morning and 1 of my hens had died. I have no idea why. They were all fine when I went to bed.

Can they be candled or are they too small for that?

Congrats on 7 babies running around! Does #1 prefer them over the stuffed dog?
